Born in Port Huron, Michigan in 1973, Mr. Adair is a lifelong area resident
where he graduated from Port
Huron Northern High School. He attended St. Clair County Community College and
in 1995, received his B.A. with honors from Michigan State University. In 1998, he
received his J.D. from Wayne State University, where he was a member of the
Wayne Law Review.
Mr. Adair practices in several areas of law, including real estate, estate
planning, probate, municipal and corporate law, including litigation related to
those specific areas.
He represents sellers, purchasers and lenders in both residential and commercial
transactions, as well as plaintiffs and defendants in lawsuits involving
boundary line disputes on claims of adverse possession and acquiescence.
Further, Mr. Adair has filed claims against title companies seeking defense of
title defects and has represented clients on claims for fraud and
misrepresentation, recision, quiet title actions and reformation actions.
Mr. Adair provides complete estate planning service to his clients by preparing
simple wills, pour-over wills, family trusts, estate tax planning trusts, life
insurance trusts, durable powers of attorney, health care powers of attorney,
deeds and other related matters. When required, Mr. Adair has probates estates
ranging from the simple to the complicated, including disputes relating to
disposition of assets.
Additionally, Mr. Adair provides services to his clients who start new
businesses by establishing corporations, limited liability companies,
partnerships, and sole proprietorships. For established companies, he drafts
minutes of meetings and resolutions to keep the companies' records current. Mr.
Adair also has assisted non-profit organizations with initial corporate
formation, including applying for tax exempt 501(c)(3) status.
Mr. Adair volunteers for several community organizations including the Port
Huron Rotary Club, American Red Cross, Boy Scouts of America, Port Huron
Business Association, Visiting Nurses Association, St. Clair County Republicans,
Knights of Columbus and Port Huron Beautification Commission. He is a member of
the State Bar of Michigan, the St. Clair County Bar Association and the Port
Huron Area Estate Planning Council.
